We definitely chose the right Roofing Company in Dockside Roofing. They were not the lowest bidder on the re-roof of our house but clearly understood the complexities of this unique job and performed as they said they would. There were no surprises or "additions" to the contract--everything was clearly spelled out and professionally done.
The personal involvement of the owners, Bob and Bill Mattull in the initial planning as well as several visits while the work was in progress was comforting to us. This job required not only a roofing contractor but also the engagement of a General Contractor in order to meet the Building Code requirements. Bill and Bob were able to provide recommendations that enabled us to select a General Contractor who could work along with the roofers. The roof required installation of an entire plywood decking system as well as the code required roofing materials in order to meet the Wind Mitigation standards.
Further, the Estimator/Sales representative, Kyle Swonger, was involved from the initial planning through the completion of the job. His pleasant demeanor and willingness to keep us informed and explain in detail what was taking place as the job progressed was above and beyond what we expected. His promptness in responding to calls/e-mails and questions was appreciated.
Dockside had a supervisor on site at all times. Curtis and his crew took care of removing the old roof and when the General Contractor completed the carpentry/decking, his crew installed the basic roof covering. They were prepared to protect our house in the event inclement weather appeared and worked steadily and neatly insuring the proper installation of materials was accomplished. Ray and his crew then took over with the tile installation. Again, the work progressed in a timely and professional manner by a well trained and organized crew. The supervisors and crews were accessible and courteous while on site.The crews not only worked steadily, but safely and cleaned up the area daily. One hardly knew there was such an involved process taking place on the property.
The entire job was completed ahead of schedule and met/exceeded the Building Inspection requirements.
Need a roof--we strongly recommend Dockside Roofing. They'll do it right--the way it should be done.
